In Italian scampi is the word for shrimp, so shrimp scampi literally means shrimp shrimp. Shrimp scampi is a delicious combination of shrimp and pasta. The recipe calls for jumbo shrimp at least 16 of them, butter, minced garlic, parsley, salt and pepper to taste, lemon, white wine, and chicken broth. Combine the butter, garlic, parsley, and salt and pepper, plus lemon. Place the shrimp in a baking pan and cover with the aforesaid sauce. Add the white wine and broth to the pan. Bake the shrimp for five minutes and then add the remaining sauce. Bake for another 10 minutes and serve the shrimp atop a bowl of freshly made pasta.
