Calzone - Italian Recipe









Similar to Stromboli:

The real difference between Stromboli and calzone is to be returned and the previous discussion is the latter. There is no difference in the ingredients. Usually contain all of the cheese (usually mozzarella), and meat, and / or vegetables. Suggest varying the components in each time you cook them. Stromboli, but has usually within the tomato sauce and sauce calzone and on the side for dipping.

Ingredients (serves 5):

* 2 tablespoons - extra virgin olive oil
* 2 cloves - garlic, minced
* 1 - large onion, chopped
* 1 - green pepper, chopped
* £ 1 - button mushrooms, sliced
* 4 - mild Italian sausage, and remove the cover
* 11 / 2 pounds - grated mozzarella cheese,

How to prepare:

The preparation of the dough calzone in the same way that you prepare the dough stomboli. Prepare tomato sauce is also prepared in the same way stomboli tomato sauce.

Place oil in a pot and heat over medium and add garlic. Cook for one minute, then add the onion, green pepper and mushrooms.

Cook for 15 minutes and then reverse a baking sheet and cook for additional 15 minutes. Serve with tomato sauce over the top or on the side for dipping.
